The 2007 edition of the LIFT conference welcomed speaker like from Florence Devouard (Chair of Wikipedia), Robert Scoble, Adam Greenfield (author of Everyware), Jaewoong Lee (founder of Daum Communications), Sugata Mitra, Pierre Chappaz (Kelkoo, Wikio, Netvibes), Sister Judith Zoebelein (Internet editor of the Vatican!), Sampo Karjalainen (Habbo Hotel), Nathan Eagle (MIT), Jan Chipchase (Nokia), Paola Ghillani or Régine Debatty. More than 550 people from 30+ countries came to listen to participate in an interactive event mixing workshops, panels and keynote speeches, an open stage.

The first edition of LIFT featured speakers like Bruce Sterling, Cory Doctorow, Robert Scoble, Euan Semple (BBC), Bruno Giussani, Xavier Comtesse (Avenir Suisse), Anina, Jeffrey Huang (Harvard), Matt Jones (Nokia), Hugh Mac Leod (Gapingvoid), David Galipeau (UNAIDS), and a ton of other amazing people. LIFT06 discussed design, emerging technologies, interne and global solidarity among other things. In a post-conference survey, the majority of attendees (54%) rated LIFT06 as “good”, with 32% as rating the event as “Excellent”.
